What is metallic epoxy?
Metallic epoxy systems combine a clear or tinted epoxy with metallic pigments. Depending on the product and how it is applied, the pigments form swirls, ripples and depth, so the look varies from floor to floor.
UV resistance varies between systems. Many epoxy coatings can yellow or chalk in strong sunlight unless the system includes a UV-stable topcoat, so whether a floor suits outdoor or sun-exposed areas depends on the specific system used.
